Dear Resident

Halloween is finally upon us and we wish everyone a safe and fun filled night.

Halloween for some though is associated with a rise in Anti-Social Behaviour and nuisance, in order to address your Neighbourhood Policing Team will be having an increased presence in the area between now and Bonfire Night, and we would like to share a few key messages to keep the night enjoyable for all.

Only knock where you are welcome, try and stick to addresses of family or friends or those who have very clearly made an effort to decorate and celebrate the occasion.

Be respectful to your community and know that what might seem harmless fun, may be severely upsetting for some people

The Police will be working with partner agencies to ensure we can best respond to any incidents and keep the night fun filled for all

Parents if you're little ones are trick or treating alone, be sure you know where they are and what they are up to, and make sure we are only scaring those we know wish to take part in the nights festivities

If you are concerned about Trick or Treaters, i have attached a copy of our ‘No Trick or Treat’ Poster to print or alternatively we have these posters available for free at our town centre front desk

I hope the night is an enjoyable one, if there are any issues we can be contacted on 101 or 999 in an emergency
